YOUR ENTRY ROUTE INTO EARLY YEARS
Eligibility: Typically 16+ with a good command of English. No previous teaching experience is required for entry-level Level 2 routes.
Time Taken: Comparable UAE providers advertise a 6-week introductory Level 2 course. A full NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner is approximately 12 months, so Ambition will confirm which exact qualification is being registered.
Learning: Child development, valuing children, learning experiences, play, food and nutrition, creative activities and safe practice.
Progression: Teaching Assistant / classroom support roles and progression toward Level 3, subject to employer and regulatory requirements.

Eligibility: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus proficiency in English. Learners need access to an Early Years workplace/placement for practical observation and competence evidence.
Time Taken: Ambition programme planning: approximately 10 months. Comparable provider FAQs note that completion can vary, commonly 12-18 months depending on pace, while accelerated routes may be possible where prior experience and availability support it.
NCFE Reference: The established NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) 601/2629/2 lists 610 TQT, 486 GLH and 61 credits.
Assessment: Written assignments, direct workplace observations, professional discussions and a portfolio of evidence.

Level 3 SENCO
Eligibility: NCFE’s Level 3 SENCO Award has a minimum entry age of 16 and is designed for Level 3 practitioners already in, or interested in, a SENCO role. Comparable UAE providers may set higher centre requirements such as 19+, Level 3 Early Years qualification and relevant experience. Ambition will confirm its approved entry criteria.
Time Taken: Approximately 2 months for the comparable UAE Level 3 SENCO award route. NCFE lists 24 GLH and 34 TQT for qualification 603/3476/9.
Focus: Role and responsibilities of the SENCO, supporting children and families, SEND practice, communication, partnership and coordinating support.
Assessment: Portfolio/assignment-based evidence according to the registered qualification specification.
