Frequently Asked Questions

Does this automatically make me a SENCO?

The qualification supports SENCO professional development, but appointment to a SENCO/inclusion role depends on employer requirements, experience and applicable UAE regulations.

Is it only for people already working with SEND?

No. NCFE describes the award as suitable for practitioners already in a SENCO role or interested in moving into one, although centres may set their own entry requirements.

Can I progress further?

Yes. Learners may progress into higher SEND/SENCO leadership qualifications or broader Early Years leadership pathways, subject to entry requirements.
